Bait and Spin Report

Welcome anglers!

Fishing Crowley lake has been really fun lately and continues to produce mix bags of trout and perch.
For trout anglers, fishing in 25-30 feet of water has been the best. Have your bait about a foot or two off the bottom. Carolina rigs are my go to here, 1/4 ounce egg sinker and 2-4 pound fluorocarbon leader is key.
Pinched crawlers and night crawlers have been the best bait. Sometimes I dip them in smelly sauce, it’s a personal preference and it works.
McGee bay, alligator point and Hilton have been great spots to check out. Remember to give other boats and anglers plenty of room, no need to fish on top of each other or drive to close to someone.
As for perch fishing, 8-15 feet of water has been producing. Small jigs topped with a crappie nibble is my go too. Lots of places to find perch. Grassy areas around alligator point, north arm and Hilton bay are good spots.

Good luck and tight lines
