Fly Fishing Report

The bite has really taken off in the last week. Some days you can get 20 to 30 fish to the net.  The fish are staying deep, in 30'+, finding most in the mornings around 35'.  They are also still feeding on the surface most of the morning.

There is not any place on the lake where fish are concentrated, they are still very spread out because of the high water levels. So your best bet is to go to places on the lake that are deep such as Stormy/Sometimes,  Christmas,  Layton even Big Hilton.

Algae has started to show up with the surface water temperatures up to 70° now. It's not bad yet.

Using Albino Midges about a foot off the bottom is working well.  Also damsel and leech patterns up higher will get the job done.  I would also suggest top water flies for when they are feeding on the surface, for a change the pace when fly fishing.
